Holistic Mental Health Care in the Delaware Valley

About Psych Choices of the Delaware Valley

Psych Choices of the Delaware Valley has been in business for 18 years in Drexel Hill area and offers a clinically diverse and collaborative work environment with over 15 clinicians (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and PsyDs) and 4 medication providers (Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners). Please see our main website for more information about our treatment providers.

Psych Choices services a broad population in the community, and has a steady stream of clients. Due to being a larger practice with great rapport in the community, Psych Choices has negotiated the best rates with commercial insurances and can offer excellent compensation and benefit packages. Psych Choices was founded in 2001 by Noah D. Freedman, MD and Emily Kahn-Freedman, LMFT. They sold their practice May of 2018 to one of their providers who plans to expand on what they established in Delaware County. The new owner, Damani P. Irby, believes that connecting and building with forward-thinking providers is the ultimate catalyst to meeting the mental health needs of the community.

Psych Choices is holistic in that believing healing requires more than just adjusting brain chemistry, and engaging in talk therapy. While brain chemistry and talking are important elements of healing, equally essential are the body, the emotions, the spirit, and our relationships with others as well as ourselves.

Treatment at Psych Choices can consist of individual, couples/family, group therapy, medication management or a combination of either. There are providers specializing in various mental health challenges from mood/anxiety disorders to childhood issues such as ADHD or ODD.  It is believed that the diversity Psych Choices has to offer is most representative of the population it serves and therefore looks to promote this dynamic clinically. Psych Choices supports an initiative that normalizes mental health awareness in everyday life and encourages communal unification.
